BENEFITS

Burdock root offers a multitude of benefits including detoxification, skin rejuvenation, digestive support, immune enhancement, and hormonal balance, making it a versatile herbal ally for promoting overall health and vitality.

GROWING CONDITIONS

Season: Spring & Autumn - Biennial

Soil: Rich and well draining

Watering: Keep moist but not wet, water often in Summer

Position: Part shade, ideally under others shrubs/trees

Fertilising: Compost, Manure, Liquid feed

Use: Harvest the roots at 50 - 60cm long. Has been used in cooking as a root vegetable. Mild Bitter sweet flavour. Good source of micronutrients such as vitamin b6. Known as a blood purifier, Lymphatic strengthener & Natural Diuretic.

Growing tips: Requires deep soil. Plant can get very large up to 90cm

Companion Plants: Sunflowers, Sunchokes, Dandelion, Beans & Peas
