BENEFITS

Moringa oleifera is a plant that is often called the drumstick tree, the miracle tree, the ben oil tree, or the horseradish tree.

Moringa has been used for centuries due to its medicinal properties and health benefits. It also has antifungal, antiviral, antidepressant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Moringa contains many healthful compounds such as: vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine)

B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B-6, folate and ascorbic acid (vitamin C), calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus & zinc. It is also extremely low in fats and contains no harmful cholesterol. Moringa is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypocholesterolemic, hypoglycemic, antispasmodic, antibiotic, and diuretic properties as well as their importance in improving nutritional status in women, infants, and children.

GROWING CONDITIONS

Season:  Spring to Summer - Perennial

Soil:  Well draining soil

Watering: Water Regularly 

Position: Full Sun

Fertilising:  Compost, Manure, Liquid feed

Use:  Moringa has been used for centuries due to its medicinal properties and health benefits. It also has antifungal, antiviral, antidepressant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Growing tips:  Moringa oleifera is an extremely fast- growing tree that takes 4-5 months to mature, is well adapted to dry soils, and can reach a height of 400 cm in a year, and eventually, 600 to 1500 cm. Give it full sun, but protect in harsh summer until it has grown to a reasonable size.
