Season: Autumn to Early Summer
Soil: Adaptable to most soil types; prefers well-draining soil
Watering: Keep moderately moist while establishing, with good drainage
Position: Part Shade to Full Sun
Fertilising: Light compost or manure, Liquid feed
Use: Leaves, seeds, flowers and stems can be harvested fresh or dried for traditional herbal preparations.
Growing tips: Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant to help retain moisture, suppress weeds and regulate soil temperature. Regularly remove competing weeds. Plantain is an adaptable and easy-to-grow perennial that can establish readily in suitable conditions.
